One of our Lodges in West Kent supported this project with a small donation. We are please to have received the following letter.

Dear West Kent Freemasons,

On behalf of everyone at The Maypole Project, I am writing to thank you for your support. As a small local charity, such donations significantly impact us! This year, we celebrate 20 years of supporting children and adolescents with medical needs and disabilities. Thanks to donors like yourselves, The Maypole Project will be able to continue to make a substantial positive impact on over 700 families across the UK.

One of the primary purposes of The Maypole Project is to create safe and inclusive spaces for children with complex needs and their families. We design activities that promote interaction, not only among the children we support but also with family members and a close circle of friends, to prevent the isolation the diagnosis can often cause. This is why donations like yours make a difference and directly impact the lives of our Maypole children. Spring is coming, and with it the sun, summer is just around the corner, and we have planned activities, mostly outdoors, to give the children a breath of fresh air and a bit of free time for the parents.

Each activity to be carried out requires exhaustive logistics, from adjusting transportation to the needs of the children who attend the activity to the number of volunteers trained for their development. Considering this, your donation will allow us to develop weekly activities such as sailing, stables visits, museum tours, etc.

Here are some photos of what you are supporting: happiness!

Once again, THANK YOU so much for taking this step to support The Maypole Project. With your support, you are contributing to our work and showing families that they are not alone and have a support network.

Best wishes,

Camila Pedraza
