A replica of the DKW Cup (David Kenneth Williamson, founder of our Universities Scheme), is visiting the home of every Scheme Lodge in England and Wales.
A route has been planned 2021 miles long, reaching all Lodges that are part of the scheme, and will be walked (as much as possible) in a relay fashion. This will be in aid of the Duke of Edinburgh Fund in recognition of the support of much of his work for young people, as well as the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF).
The Cup will leave Freemasons Hall around 1pm on Wednesday, 9th June, and is due to arrive at the Shirley Woolmer Masonic Hall, Sidcup, between 5:30 and 6pm. Our Provincial Grand Master, Mark Estaugh, will be there to receive it from members of Metropolitan Grand Lodge. Anyone who is available at that time, please come along and support this special moment, support our Provincial Grand Master, and our Universities Scheme Lodge, Hervey Lodge.
Similarly, the Cup will leave Shirley Woolmer Masonic Hall on Thursday 10th June at 1pm, on its journey to Pentangle Lodge, Rochester. Should you be available to cheer on this moment as the Cup moves to the Province of East Kent, your support will be wholeheartedly welcomed.
If you wish to be involved in its journey to Rochester, please get in touch with the West Kent Light Blues, by emailing vp@wklightblues.uk, for further details.
