Turning Pages Community Centre, based in Eltham, is a community-funded multi-use centre supporting many local groups. The centre provides support services, including food deliveries, isolation support and supplying hot meals to three local Hospices and three Care Homes.
Restrictions imposed due to COVID-19 caused serious financial difficulty for the centre. Members of the White Horse of Kent Lodge became aware of the situation and applied to the West Kent Emergency Fund (WKEF) for support. A grant of £1,000 was immediately made by the WKEF to save this valuable community asset from closing and enable the centre to continue offering vital assistance to a significant number of local community groups.
