The annual fireworks event in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, was held in the beautiful Dunorlan Park, with its main lake serving as the stunning backdrop to an amazing fireworks display. A large crowd from the local area came to enjoy a spectacular evening, and with fair weather, a bigger-than-usual turnout gathered to celebrate.
Tunbridge Wells Round Table organised a fantastic event, supported by West Kent Freemasons from several lodges, including “Tonbridge Lodge” and “Holmesdale Lodge”, who assisted as marshals. With “West Kent Freemasons” and “MCF” logos prominently displayed on their high-visibility vests, the team of 10 Masons helped with crowd control, safety, the sale of glow sticks and more.
Throughout the evening, several Freemasons engaged in conversations about Freemasonry, with many attendees showing interest and asking questions. One mother of two remarked, “Great to see you chaps at the event,” while another attendee said, “Well done, Freemasons!”
Everyone had a fantastic time, including the brilliant Round Table team that organised the event, with many expressing thanks to the West Kent Freemasons for their support.
All profits from the event will benefit a variety of local charities, demonstrating how organisations can come together to make a difference in the community.
Local Freemasons have also been able to support Masonic charities like the “TLC Teddy Appeal,” which donates teddy bears to local hospitals for young children who need comfort while receiving care in A&E departments.
The dedication of all the organisations working together at large community events ensures everyone stays safe and has a great time — a true example of Freemasonry in the community.
