Back in October Robin Rudkin of Radiant Star Lodge and Neil Rossiter of Merridian Lodge put their heads together to have a fun quiz night to raise funds for Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice. They were also joined by members of Erdemont Lodge of Mark Master Masons.
The night was a tremendous success and raised £1,000 for the Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice.
On 7 December, members of the Lodges attended the Hospice and were met by Lucy Griffith-Searles, Community Relationships Fundraising Manager (left), and Melissa Trim, Trust & Foundations Manager (right), who gave them a tour of the facilities and showed them an example of the specialist bed that the £1,000 is funding. These beds are better for the patients and the staff and make a real difference to the quality of care provided by the excellent members of staff at the Hospice. As well as Robin (far left) and Neil (third from left), the Master of Radiant Star, Adam Harvey (second left), also attended, joined by the Provincial Charity Steward, Steve Rozier and Deputy Provincial Grand Master, both of whom happen also to be members of Erdemont Lodge of Mark Master Masons 1894.
