FreddyFarmerAppealIn November the PCC agreed a major grant of £6,000 to fund a special piece of equipment at The Freddie Farmer Foundation Centre in Bromley. Below is a copy of an email received earlier today. This grant was made possible by all the generous donations you all give with your Provincial dues.

I’ve attached a photograph of the LiteGait Mobile Hoist system which was so generously funded by the Freemasons of West Kent in 2015. We took delivery of the hoist last week.

The design of the hoist allows for a child to be safely supported while walking over ground or on a treadmill and can enable the child to build up their strength, endurance and increase confidence in a safe environment. It helps to control how much weight the child is putting through their legs while practising stepping/walking and it eliminates concerns for balance and the fear of falling. The hoist also allows the therapist to manually assist the legs and pelvis of a patient to achieve a good walking pattern.

Thank you so much for your support.

All the best,
