A note from Dr David Staples on the Coronavirus Brethren

It is perhaps timely to ask all of our members, should they be feeling unwell, and think that they are suffering from something that someone else might catch, to consider very carefully whether they should be attending Lodge or Chapter meetings until they are better.  This is very much for the benefit of all of our members, as well as that of the individual concerned.
We will, of course, update this advice, as appropriate, according to Public Health England advice.

Sincerely and fraternally yours,

Dr David Staples, FRCP
CEO and Grand Secretary

The Grand Master’s Order of Service to Masonry

The collarette and jewel of a holder of The Grand Master’s Order of Service to Masonry, though undoubtedly permitted (under Royal Arch Regulation 84) to be worn with Royal Arch regalia, has until recently, by long-standing custom, been worn only with Craft regalia.  In June 2019 the Grand Master’s (and First Grand Principal’s) advisers gave it as their opinion that there was no reason why the collarette and jewel should not be worn with Royal Arch regalia, and holders of the OSM were informed accordingly.
