PROVINCIAL GRAND CHAPTER OF ROYAL ARCH MASONS OF WEST KENT

Companions All

On behalf of the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, I have pleasure in attaching the Calling Notice for the Provincial Grand Chapter Convocation which will be held on Friday 8th November 2019 at Freemasons’ Hall, Great Queen Street, London.

Provincial Grand Chapter will consist of an afternoon Convocation commencing at 3:00 p.m. (Companions will be required to be seated by 2:25 p.m.) concluding at approximately 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be followed by the festival dinner in The Grand Connaught Rooms from 6:00 p.m. and the booking form for this is attached.  This year both the meeting and dinner are onlyopen to Royal Arch Masons.

From September 2019 The Grand Connaught Rooms have introduced a slight increase in prices and an alteration to its catering policies. Mindful of costs, as at Provincial Grand Lodge, we will not be including a reception drink in the cost of the meal (£47.50 including wine).  The menu as stated on the dining form is the only meal The Grand Connaught Rooms will be providing. It will no longer cater for preferences, only dietary requirements, e.g. vegetarians, vegans, coeliacs and allergies.  Please ensure you clearly state any dietary requirements on the dining form.  Requests for alternatives to the set menu are unlikely to be entertained.  The only acceptable preference is that of cheese and biscuits, which can be offered as an alternative to the dessert, but please note this now commands a £2 supplementary cost.

The Grand Superintendent is keen that all Chapters in West Kent are represented, and a register is being set up.

There will be processions for MEZs, Grand Officers and Holders of the Invicta Award (those Holders qualifying from Craft can be included), Past Chains and 2018 Active Officers.  All those attending the meeting should inform the Office if they wish to be included in a procession.

The Grand Superintendent will be pleased to greet new Exaltees during the meeting; please encourage your Exaltees to attend, preferably accompanied by a mentor.

Further instructions for honours recipients and RA Masons will follow nearer the event.

The Grand Superintendent is very much looking forward to having your company and support at both the Convocation and festival dinner.

Kindest regards

Paul Christopher
