Pirate Lunch

by | May 22, 2015

Members of Alma Lodge and their families, along with a significant number of non-masonic guests – and several pirates! – all gathered at the Toscana Restaurant, Sidcup, for a “Captain’s Table” family lunch, on Saturday 16 May.

The lunch was presided over by Captain Pugwash (W. Bro James Croft, the current Worshipful Master of Alma Lodge) assisted by a fearsome bunch of young pirates, including his 6 year old son, George.

The event was also attend by the Provincial Grand Master designate, Mark Estaugh and his wife, Laura.

A delighted Charity Steward for Alma Lodge, Paul Holmes, said: “This was a really inclusive event. Everybody enjoyed themselves, particularly Alma Lodge’s newer members who attended with their wives and young children. It also included a significant number of non-masons, and I was pleased to be approached regarding potential new membership.”

Alma Lodge were also touched by a very generous cash donation from the owners of the Toscana Restaurant, Sidcup. The event raised £525 and a similar event (without the pirates…) is being arranged for later in the year.
