Widows Sons

As Christmas is fast approaching, can I draw your attention to this year’s appeal for the Widows Sons Toy Run, in which the Widows Sons will place a toy sack in the bar area of most Masonic centres in West Kent.

Each year we make this appeal to awaken the feelings of every brother, to bring a little joy of light to the underprivileged children within this community. This year’s Toy Run will be held on the 15 December, starting from Welling Masonic Centre, where the Widows Sons will dress up for the occasion and deliver the toys and donations at Downham Community Centre, as we did last year.

Our PGM along with the Mayors joined us last year and it was a great success. I sincerely hope you will be able to help us in this time of need, by simply donating a small gift or even a donation from your lodge. It will be thankfully received and faithfully applied.

Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association (West Kent)

The Widows Sons is an International Association which is open to all Freemasons who enjoy motorcycling and have a desire to ride with and associate with their fraternal brothers.

We are the only Widows Sons Association in the UK that is recognised by the United Grand Lodge of England.

Our goal is to:
· Introduce the pleasures of motorcycling to our Masonic Brothers
· Raise Masonic Awareness in the world of motorcycling
· Support our regular Masonic lodges through regular attendance and assisting with or attending lodge events. We are NOT a Lodge.

While we wear identifying regalia, or patches, the Widows Sons are not a biker gang, MC or 1% Club. We are required to represent the fraternity in a positive light at all times. The Widows Sons serve to raise money for charitable causes, raise Masonic awareness while attending public motorcycling events and support our regular Lodges in whatever capacity we are able. Widows Sons chapters have helped to increase Masonic membership through our presence and visibility during public motorcycle events and rallies.

We have chapters throughout the United Kingdom and each Widows Sons chapter is encouraged to sponsor or participate in local charity runs or events.

In West Kent there is a Chapter who would love to welcome you at any of our events.
We hold a ‘Natter Night’ on the Third Wednesday of each Month at the Pied Bull Public House in Farningham at 7.30pm. You are always welcome.
